Becky Wilkey, Campus Security & Public Safety

Welcome Spring! Campus Security and Public Safety (CSPS) is preparing for the warmer temperatures and longer days. For CSPS that means that everyone will be enjoying the outdoors, including those visiting Gonzaga. With the warm temperatures, our local criminals will be out at all hours of the day and night. Here are some tips to help keep you and your property safe:

  • Keep windows shut and locked when you are sleeping or leave your residence.
  • Keep all property left in vehicles out of sight of prowlers.
  • Walk in groups when in the neighborhood.
  • Be aware of your surroundings and suspicious people.

CSPS’s main focus is on the protection of people and property. This year with the addition of the Crime Prevention Officer position, we are able to put more focus on areas requiring more attention. Remember, CSPS cannot see or be everywhere and to be the best we can be requires help from the faculty, staff, students and visitors. If you see something or someone suspicious, please call CSPS at the time of the activity.

We are available for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and if you forget or misplace your phone, we have blue light phones to assist you. Remember that we provide escorts and parking services and we can jump start your vehicle if needed. We want you to have a great finish to the year and if there is something CSPS can do to help you, please let us know.
