The 2nd year returning student housing selection process begins in January/February with submittal of an application through the “on-line” Zag Living portal. Applications received by the due date are randomly ordered to determine when students may make their selection during each step in the process. Applications received after the due date, regardless of reason, will choose housing assignments last.

The order of room selection progresses in the following order: 1) living-learning community participants (special application required) select first, 2) Kennedy & Corkery 6-person apartment, 3) Dussault and Kennedy 4- and 8-person (suite and apartment respectively), 4) remaining open rooms.

Note: The living and learning communities require a supplemental application in addition to the standard application. A committee will review applications, select participants and provide further information regarding the room selection.

Students are notified via email of their specific room selection time. During that time, applicants may access Zag Living to make their selection. Only available rooms are displayed, so, if a room is filled, it will not display upon search. Once an applicant selects and confirms a room, they are finished in the process and cannot participate further.

The specific policies that will apply to the room selection process will be sent to applicants in advance. These policies will also be posted on the GU web site. Any questions may be directed to the Housing Office (509-313-4103 or housing@gonzaga.edu).
